Q. Do I have to be a runner?
A. NOT AT ALL! Did you read the "our history" section? We have something for EVERYONE! You can power walk, jog, run or all three!
Q. Do I need to be in shape before taking a rhythm + stride class?
A. Nope. That's our job. We will help you get in shape- and it will happen fast! But really, any place you need to be in shape beforehand is a place you don't want to be. Seriously.
Q. What should I bring to class?
A. You will be running or walking and doing resistance and weight training. You should wear comfortable exercise clothes and supportive sneakers. You will also get sweaty so we encourage you to bring a towel. Water is a must! We sell bottles of water for $1 at the front desk if you forget yours.
Q. Do I need to sign up online ahead of time to take class?
A. Yes. You must sign up ahead of time online to reserve your space in class. We cannot guarantee walk-ins as classes fill up quickly and we have a limited amount of space and equipment. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee there will be a spot available for you if you choose to just drop in.
Q. Can I take class if I am expecting?
A. Yes with a doctors note of approval. Please inform the instructor prior to class that you are expecting. Additionally please be sure to email us with any questions you have before signing up!
Q. How often should I take class?
A. To receive maximum results you should consistently take class 3-4 (or more) times per week. Taking class once or twice per week is also great if you are looking to just feel good and supplement your fitness routine with our workouts.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. If you cancel any class, at any time, you must run 10 miles at a 30% incline next time we see you. Just kidding. Classes must be changed or canceled prior to 12 hours before the scheduled class time or it will be forfeited. You must be present 5 minutes prior to the start of class or your spot may be given away to wait listed clients and you will be charged for the class. This policy helps to ensure that we can accommodate all of our clients who would like to get their sweat on.
Q. Can I move my reservation?
A. If you are within the 12 hour cancellation window, you can always move to another class. If you need to change your reservation but there is less than 12 hours until your scheduled class, that would be considered a late cancel and the above cancellation policy would apply. Sorry, no exceptions.
Q. What if I miss a class that I scheduled?
A. Life happens, we understand. In terms of class policy, if you miss a class that you reserved it's considered a late cancel (see cancellation policy above).
Q. Do clients need to be a certain age or at a certain fitness level to attend class?
A. Clients must be at least 18 years old to attend class without a parent or guardian. If you have a friend, daughter/son, niece/nephew, etc. who would like to take class and is under the age of 18 please email us before coming to the studio. An adult must attend classes with those who are under 18 years of age.
Q. Does rhythm + stride ever host or accommodate private events?
A. Yes in addition to our own private events our studio may be the perfect venue for your next event, party or corporate outing. Please contact us for details.
Q. How can I become a rhythm + stride instructor?
A. Instructors who have completed the rhythm + stride™ certification teach exclusively for rhythm + stride™. Please email us if you are interested in training and we will discuss the process with you. Our workout is not currently available in gyms or other private facilities.
